Pending Real Estate Sales Shoot Past 100 for 1st Time This Year

Pending sales are one of my key barometer readings for the health of the real estate market. Essentially, there have been declining pending sales here in Routt County for over a year now, bottoming out at about 90, on average, for the past three to four months.

All that changed over the last three weeks as pending sales moved from the low 90′s to 113 as of 4/27/09. The basic data simply means more people have put properties under contract and if this trend continues it will reduce the downward pressure we have been experiencing for the past 18 months.

Some of the pending sale highlights include two single family homes in Tree Haus, two townhomes on Longview, and a Porches unit which was listed for $2,628,630. My listing at Caribou Lane in the Fish Creek area received 6 offers including a full price offer of $599,900.
